ExecuJet MRO Services Middle East has completed a comprehensive cabin interior refurbishment and exterior livery paintwork on an Embraer Legacy 650 at its Dubai facility, highlighting the region’s growing capabilities in aircraft refurbishment and MRO services.
The project demonstrates the expanding capabilities of Dubai’s aerospace ecosystem, enabling operators to undertake major cabin refurbishment and aircraft painting locally rather than sending aircraft to overseas MRO facilities.
The Legacy 650 underwent an extensive cabin upgrade, including the revarnishing of cabinetry, carpet replacement and refurbishment of the dado panels, overhead panels, sidewalls and ceiling. Metallic components were also replated to complement the aircraft’s new interior colour scheme.
The aircraft’s seats were redesigned with a contemporary appearance and reupholstered using new foam and leather. The work was carried out in coordination with Embraer and the seat manufacturer to ensure compliance with applicable regulatory safety requirements for 16G aircraft seats.
The completed cabin features a contemporary and luxurious design, with coordinated textures and colours that complement the aircraft’s new exterior livery.
“Our ability to offer heavy base maintenance, aircraft painting, along with cabin refurbishment at one airport location reinforces our position as a growing hub for aircraft MRO services,” said Nick Weber, Regional Vice President Middle East, ExecuJet MRO Services.
“We are seeing increasing demand in the region for cabin upgrades, and have been steadily increasing our in-house capabilities to enable us to offer a comprehensive suite of MRO and aircraft refurbishment services, reducing aircraft downtime and improving customer satisfaction,” Weber added.
ExecuJet MRO Services Middle East operates a purpose-built, 15,344-square-metre air-conditioned facility in Dubai, providing a broad range of MRO services for business aircraft from manufacturers including Dassault Aviation, Bombardier, Embraer and Hawker.
The company has also maintained a long-standing relationship with Embraer and is an authorised service centre for Embraer business jets.
The completion of the Legacy 650 project further strengthens ExecuJet’s ability to deliver integrated maintenance, painting and cabin refurbishment services at a single location, supporting growing demand for business aviation MRO capabilities in the Middle East.
