Duncan Aviation has expanded its aircraft design teams across Lincoln, Nebraska; Battle Creek, Michigan; and Provo, Utah, strengthening its support for business aircraft cabin refurbishment projects.
The company has named Misty Brookson and Christine Bonk as Lead Designers in Lincoln, promoted Lauren Hawkins and Lauren Burkhardt to Associate Designers II in Battle Creek, and promoted Amie Jensen to Lead Designer in Provo.
The expanded team will support customers throughout the cabin refurbishment process, translating individual preferences and operational requirements into functional, coordinated interior designs. Work spans seating, cabinetry, flooring, sidewalls, headliners, lighting, fixtures, fabrics, leather and finishes.
Aircraft interior design also requires consideration of material durability, weight, cabin dimensions, certification requirements, installation methods and long-term maintainability. Duncan Aviation’s designers collaborate with sales representatives, project managers, engineers, technicians and production teams to align design choices with aircraft requirements and project execution.
The appointments also reflect the varied routes into aviation interior design. The team brings experience in residential interiors, graphic design, fashion design and hands-on aircraft finishing and cabinetry. This combination of creative and technical knowledge supports the development of personalised cabin environments while accounting for the practical demands of aircraft refurbishment.
By strengthening its design capabilities across three facilities, Duncan Aviation aims to provide a more integrated customer experience, connecting initial cabin concepts with engineering, material selection and installation. The expansion reinforces the role of interior design in business aviation refurbishment, where aesthetics must work alongside functionality, craftsmanship and the technical requirements of the aircraft.
