Alaska Airlines and Hawaiian Airlines have reached a major milestone in their fleet connectivity programme, announcing that approximately 150 aircraft across their combined fleet are now equipped with Starlink’s high-speed inflight Wi-Fi, bringing the carriers ahead of schedule in their rollout of complimentary connectivity.
The achievement includes 100% of Alaska’s regional fleet and the first 50 mainline aircraft, while all Hawaiian Airlines aircraft operating flights to and from Hawai’i now offer free Starlink Wi-Fi, reinforcing Hawaiian’s position as the first major U.S. airline to introduce the service across its network.
Beginning in June, passengers flying on Starlink-equipped aircraft will experience a new onboard portal that enables seamless access to complimentary Wi-Fi through Atmos Rewards, the combined loyalty programme of Alaska and Hawaiian Airlines. Existing members will benefit from automatic connectivity via a simplified interface, while new travellers can enrol free of charge in just a few steps before or during their journey. The enhanced experience is expected to be fully implemented across all Starlink-equipped flights by mid-July.
The complimentary inflight connectivity is being made possible through Alaska Airlines’ longstanding partnership with T-Mobile, with Starlink delivering low-latency, high-bandwidth internet capable of supporting streaming, browsing and messaging throughout the flight.
“For years, T-Mobile has played a key role in keeping our guests connected, and we’re proud to now offer Starlink, the fastest Wi-Fi in the sky, to Atmos members for free,” said Shane Jones, Senior Vice President of Fleet, Products and Guest Experience at Alaska Airlines. “We’ve seen an overwhelmingly positive response from our guests as we continue to raise the bar for the experience across Alaska Airlines and Hawaiian Airlines.”

Mike Belcher, Head of Partnerships & Business Development at T-Mobile, added that the collaboration is redefining passenger expectations for inflight connectivity by making reliable, complimentary internet access available to more travellers across both airlines.
The rollout follows Hawaiian Airlines’ introduction of Starlink in 2024, after which Alaska began installations across its fleet late last year. Within months, Alaska became the first U.S. airline to equip its entire regional jet fleet with Starlink connectivity.
Installation is now progressing across the carrier’s mainline aircraft, with Alaska expecting to complete Starlink integration on its widebody fleet this autumn, including its Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners operating long-haul international services between Seattle and destinations including Seoul-Incheon, London, Rome and Tokyo. Full installation across the remaining mainline fleet is expected to be completed by 2027.
The expanded deployment represents another significant investment in the passenger experience as Alaska and Hawaiian continue their transformation into a global premium carrier, providing passengers with seamless, home-like internet connectivity throughout their journey while supporting the growing demand for uninterrupted digital access in the cabin.
