Panasonic Avionics opened a new software center of excellence in Portland, Oregon. This new facility will have a core team of software engineers who specialize in Linux and Android operating systems. This will play a key role in Panasonic Avionics’ ongoing efforts in developing next-generation software platforms.
Thus, by tapping into the region’s flourishing talent pool of skilled software engineers and developers, Panasonic Avionics will enhance its existing software capabilities and accelerate the development of transformative IFEC experiences for airlines and their passengers.

Panasonic Avionics’ global software development presence includes engineering talent in Irvine, California, Malmö, Sweden, Osaka Japan, and most recently in Pune, India. The Pune facility, which was launched in July 2024, was further strengthened with the addition of a software support team in Mumbai.
