SETNA has completed the acquisition of a majority stake in Lithuania-based J&C Aero, a specialist in aircraft cabin interior engineering, marking a strategic expansion of its global maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) capabilities.

The transaction strengthens SETNA’s presence in the aviation aftermarket by adding J&C Aero’s European operations and EASA-certified expertise in cabin interior design, production, maintenance and continuing airworthiness management. Based in Vilnius, J&C Aero operates approximately 11,000 square metres of facilities and employs 265 aviation specialists.

Through the acquisition, SETNA broadens its service offering across the aircraft lifecycle by integrating J&C Aero’s certified capabilities, including EASA Part 21J design engineering, Part 21G production, Part 145 maintenance, and Continuing Airworthiness Management Organisation (CAMO) services. The partnership also enhances SETNA’s ability to deliver custom cabin interior solutions for commercial, cargo, business aviation and government aircraft operators.

The acquisition expands SETNA’s MRO network, which already includes facilities in Arizona, Chicago, Miami and London, alongside sales and trading operations spanning more than 15 countries. The combined platform is expected to improve customer access in Europe while creating opportunities to deliver more comprehensive aftermarket support worldwide.

David Chaimovitz, Founder and CEO of SETNA, said the acquisition aligns with the company’s strategy of adding highly specialised engineering and MRO capabilities.

“We are proud to partner with another exceptional founder-led company that shares our passion and love for the aviation industry,” said Chaimovitz. “J&C brings a rare combination of engineering depth, production capability, and certification expertise in cabin interiors. As SETNA continues to scale, these are exactly the types of MRO and proprietary engineering capabilities we want to add to our platform. Together we can offer customers a broader, more integrated aftermarket solution across the aircraft lifecycle.”

J&C Aero will continue to operate under its existing leadership, with its five founders retaining significant equity in the business. The arrangement is intended to preserve the company’s operational continuity, customer relationships and established brand within the aviation industry.

Laurynas Skukauskas, CEO of J&C Aero, said the partnership provides an opportunity to accelerate the company’s growth while maintaining its established approach to customers and operations.

“This partnership allows J&C Aero to accelerate its growth while continuing to operate with the same team, standards, and customer-first approach that have defined our business,” he said.

The acquisition positions both companies to expand their global footprint and strengthen their capabilities in delivering integrated aircraft interior engineering, manufacturing, and aftermarket support solutions across multiple aviation sectors.
