Mirus Aircraft Seating’s Hawk Duo recline economy seat has been added to the Airbus A320 Family Buyer Furnished Equipment (BFE) Catalogue from July 2026. The inclusion gives airlines another lightweight seating option that can be selected during the aircraft cabin definition process.

Hawk Duo joins Mirus’ existing Hawk Infinity and Kestrel seats in the Airbus catalogue, giving airlines a wider choice of economy seating solutions for different operational and passenger requirements.

Designed for both single-aisle and twin-aisle aircraft, Hawk Duo is Mirus’ latest economy seat. It weighs 8.5 kg per passenger, including synthetic covers and seatbelts, and provides passengers with increased living space, up to five inches of recline, and an ergonomic design.

The seat also features a simplified architecture and fewer parts, which Mirus says can improve reliability while reducing maintenance and operating costs. Its lightweight design can also help airlines reduce fuel consumption and associated CO₂ emissions.

“We are proud to see Hawk Duo join the Airbus BFE Catalogue, alongside Hawk Infinity and Kestrel,” said Ben McGuire, CEO, Mirus Aircraft Seating. “This is another important milestone for Mirus and reflects our commitment to delivering innovative seating solutions that combine passenger comfort with operational efficiency.”

Hawk Duo complements Mirus‘ Hawk Infinity reclining economy seat and Kestrel fixed-back economy seat, giving airlines options ranging from enhanced passenger comfort to lightweight cabin configurations focused on operational efficiency.
