Duncan Aviation has completed a comprehensive interior refurbishment of a Dassault Falcon 900EX, delivering a cabin transformation that places design harmony, material refinement and passenger comfort at the centre of the upgrade.

Carried out at Duncan Aviation’s full-service facility in Lincoln, Nebraska, the project was inspired by the owner’s new Gulfstream aircraft, with the design team translating that aesthetic into a more calm, sophisticated and timeless Falcon cabin environment. While the refurbishment also included exterior paint work, the interior redesign stands out as the defining element of the programme.

The refreshed cabin features two signature Duncan Aviation-designed upgrades: newly developed Passenger Service Unit (PSU) overlay panels and a modernised drinkrail design. These elements were complemented by Duncan Aviation’s Finishing Touches hardware package, creating a cohesive visual language across the cabin.

Inside, the design moves away from bold contrasts in favour of a soft, harmonious palette. A 100% wool carpet in a saturated beige tone forms the foundation of the space, paired with custom seating in rich cream leather, accented by black welt cord and a subtle organic diamond stitch pattern. All-new seats incorporate recliner leg rests and flex-wing headrests, enhancing comfort while maintaining a clean, contemporary profile.

Material selection plays a key role in the cabin’s elevated feel. Warm-toned veneer with a linear grain pattern is paired with satin nickel plating, while textured Ultraleather upper sidewalls add visual depth. Lower sidewalls are finished in hand-tipped leather, reinforcing the bespoke nature of the refurbishment.

The PSU overlay panels introduce a cleaner, more modern ceiling line while integrating new up- and downwash LED lighting. Designed for easier removal and installation, the panels also feature radiused light and air vent recesses wrapped in matching materials for a seamless look. Drinkrails were redesigned and simplified, further contributing to the cabin’s streamlined aesthetic.

In the aft cabin, the divan and settee were designed to coordinate with the seating, featuring contrasting black piping and soft upholstery. The settee sits opposite the dining and conference area and works with a reconfigurable conference table, allowing the space to adapt easily for meetings, dining or leisure. In the galley, lightweight solid-surface countertops emulate the look of natural stone while supporting operational efficiency.

Alongside the visual upgrades, the aircraft received a Collins Venue Cabin Management System, new LED lighting, USB charging ports and connectivity enhancements, ensuring the refreshed interior aligns with modern passenger expectations.

The completed Falcon 900EX interior reflects Duncan Aviation’s focus on functional elegance, blending thoughtful design, modern materials and proven upgrade solutions. For the aircraft interiors community, the project highlights how tailored refurbishment programmes can extend the relevance and appeal of legacy business jets while delivering a cabin experience aligned with today’s premium standards.
