RECARO Holding has reported robust financial performance for 2025, with total revenue reaching €723 million and sustaining double-digit growth, underpinned by strong order intake and continued product innovation. With an order book approaching €3 billion, the company enters 2026 with significant momentum, particularly within its aviation-focused RECARO Aircraft Seating business.
The aircraft seating division is poised for a major ramp-up, reflecting both the ongoing recovery in global air travel and increasing airline investment in cabin upgrades and fleet expansion. This growth is complemented by expanding contributions from RECARO’s rail and gaming segments, although aviation remains central to the company’s long-term strategy.
In 2025, RECARO produced close to 120,000 passenger seats across all cabin classes, highlighting the scale at which the company is now operating as airlines accelerate retrofit and line-fit programmes.

To sustain growth and meet evolving customer requirements, RECARO continues to invest more than 10% of its resources into innovation, product development, and new programme execution. A key focus area is the advancement of composite technologies, which are increasingly critical for reducing seat weight, improving fuel efficiency, and meeting sustainability targets.
Parallel to product innovation, the company is scaling its industrial footprint through its “space2grow” initiative, aimed at enhancing manufacturing flexibility and customer responsiveness. A notable development under this programme is the multi-million-euro investment in its Poland facility, where expanded office and production capacity will support higher output levels and technological upgrades.
Reflecting its growth trajectory, RECARO’s global workforce has expanded to nearly 3,400 employees, with 250 new hires added over the past year. Of these, 150 positions were created at its headquarters in Schwäbisch Hall, Germany, reinforcing core engineering and production capabilities.
At the same time, the company is integrating AI-driven solutions across its operations to enhance efficiency, optimise production processes, and support data-driven decision-making, a trend increasingly visible across the aerospace manufacturing and MRO value chain.
From a product perspective, RECARO is focusing on scaling its next-generation seating platforms. The R3 long-haul economy seat is currently being ramped up in production, with deployments already underway at airlines such as Iberia, Aer Lingus and Malaysia Airlines.
Simultaneously, the company is targeting a stronger foothold in the premium segment through its R7 business class seat, which is designed to enhance passenger comfort and differentiate airline offerings. The product is already in service with carriers including Iberia and LATAM Airlines.
With a strong order backlog, continued investment in innovation, and expanding production capacity, RECARO is well-positioned to capitalise on the next phase of aviation growth.
For the MRO ecosystem, the company’s trajectory underscores the increasing importance of aircraft interiors as a strategic differentiator, where design, manufacturing, and aftermarket support must align closely to deliver both operational efficiency and enhanced passenger experience.
