RECARO’s CL3810 seats to adorn Malaysia Airlines new A330 fleet

Malaysia Airlines has become the first airline in Southeast Asia to select RECARO Aircraft Seating to furnish its brand-new A330neo fleet with CL3810 economy class seat. The

As a part of the contract, Recaro will deliver over 5000 CL3810 passenger seats for a linefit on Malaysia Airlines’ A330neo fleet starting from quarter III (Q3) of 2024 till 2028.

The CL3810 is the latest addition to Recaro’s seating portfolio, as the company claims is lightweight and designed to enhance the passenger experience and operational efficiency.

Some of its salient features are –

CL3810

  • seat  pitch ranging from 31 to 36 inches
  • 6-inch recline
  • a 13.3-inch in-flight entertainment system
  • individual power access at each seat with type USB-C and USB-A ports
  • seat cushions with layered foam and ergonomic technology
  • six-way adjustable headrest
  • a comfort+ seat bottom with articulation
  • unique slim backrest design to provide an extra inch of knee space

Recaro claims that with these features onboard, passengers can expect a spacious and ergonomic seating experience which will add to overall passenger experience especially during long flights.

Built with sustainability in mind, the CL3810 is nearly 15% lighter than its predecessor, contributing to significant fuel savings for airlines while optimizing cabin performance. The seats will be dressed in a customized trim and finish, incorporating Malaysia Airlines’ signature songket motif.

Meanwhile, Malaysian Airlines is excited to induct brand new A330neos in its fleet which promises modernity along with enhanced cabin comfort. With the new CL3810 seats onboard, the airline has high hopes form Recaro to create a new standard of delivering unparalleled customer satisfaction.
