Air France is planning to renew its cabins of all its Embraer E190s operated by HOP! along with its range of product and services on its short and medium-haul network.
To design the aircraft’s future seats, Air France has teamed up with Expliseat, the French manufacturer of an innovative carbon fiber and titanium seat combining a lightweight and sustainable design with enhanced comfort, durability and functionality. The aircraft will be fitted with a new model of the TiSeat, making Air France the launch customer of the new product
The new seats will be tailored to airline’s needs and manufactured and assembled in Angers, France.
With the new TiSeat, Expliseat is building on its unique advanced technology to push the aesthetic and functional boundaries of innovation in aircraft interiors.
Leveraging its patented titanium and composite fiber frame and its collaboration with Air France, this latest evolution of the TiSeat combines unparalleled reduction in seat weight, significant improvement in seat robustness and sustainability with advanced comfort and design features, setting a new standard for economic efficiency, elegance and functionality.
With this new production, launched for Air France in the new Angers factory from Fall 2024, Expliseat aims to combine continuous innovation with passenger comfort.
Marking this moment as one of the most pivotal for Expliseat, Amaury Barberot, chief executive, Expliseat says that together with Air France we are setting new standards in cabin design. “This collaboration underlines Air France confidence in our technology and the commitment to delivering exceptional experiences for all passengers,” Barberot adds.
The entire cabin decor will be also given a makeover in the Air France colours, from the walls of the aircraft to the carpet on the floor.
The refurbishment of the Embraer 190s will start after summer at the HOP! maintenance site in Clermont-Ferrand. The first of these revamped aircraft will take to the skies in autumn 2024.
These new-generation seats will be consistent with the high standards of comfort offered on board the Airbus A220. They will be unveiled exclusively from May 28 to May 30, 2024 at the Aircraft Interiors Expo in Hamburg, Germany. While details of the new TiSeat remain confidential until its official unveiling in May 2024, they can look forward to an enhanced travel experience thanks to a new human-centric design philosophy.
