STG Aerospace is all set to launch world’s first sustainable emergency exit marking system, saf-Tglo® eco E1. This is the first sustainable alternative to current emergency floor path market options.
STG plans to launch the product at Aircraft Interiors Expo (AIX) in May 2024.
With no electrical power source needed, saf-Tglo® is 100% reliable. The system simultaneously stores and emits light, providing a highly visible emergency egress path, after just a short charging period during normal cabin lighting.
Some of the salient features of saf-Tglo are –
- It elimates AOG when installed and maintained as per product instructions.
- Long life reduces maintenance and operational costs.
- Charging is simple, it includes a short charge via the cabin lighting during aircraft preparation, prior to the first flight of the day.
- It has a simple installation process with ‘cut, seal, stick’ installation, approximate 1 hour install for typical single aisle.
- No test coupons or ongoing maintenance required for the continued airworthiness of STG systems
- Creates a water tight assembly, preventing fluid ingress damage and staining.
- saf-Tglo® is highly durable and designed to withstand the harshest cabin environments.
- saf-Tglo® has been designed to complement the aesthetics of cabin designs and is available in green glow colour or our patented blue glow option.
This new saf-Tglo® photoluminescent floor path marking illuminates the exit ways, while delivering sustainability improvements across the product life cycle.
STG Aerospace designed, developed and certified the first patented photoluminescent floor path marking system in 1995 to address the regulatory requirements for emergency evacuation of passenger cabins.
STG Aerospace claims that this technology is without compromising passenger safety, performance, reliability, or aesthetics.
