Diehl Aviation has bagged a contract from Eve Air Mobility to design and develop Eve’s eVTOL cabin. Diehl will integrate and produce the complete floor-to-floor and interiors for both the cockpit and cabin as well as cabin lighting. The company will work closely with Eve’s engineering and design team to turn the company’s vision for an innovative and comfortable cabin into a reality to deliver the best flight experience for Eve passengers.
Diehl Aviation has been contracted to develop the entire interior for Eve’s eVTOL aircraft, including the side and ceiling panels, partitions, floor panels, and interior lining of the cabin, cockpit, and cargo compartment. Diehl will also develop the cabin and cockpit lighting system by incorporating the latest LED technology. In keeping with the high design standards, all materials will be eco-efficient to reduce weight and carbon footprint.
Eve’s eVTOL aircraft is currently under development. The fully electrical aircraft carries four passengers and one pilot with up to six passengers planned for autonomous operation. With a range of up to 100 kilometers, the eVTOL combines conventional fixed wings with rotors and pushers to offer high dispatch reliability, lower cost of ownership a sustainable commute, and reduced noise footprint, ideal for urban and short-range flights.
