Jamco America is partnering with Alaska Airlines and SEKISUI KYDEX to create dope modular branding panels for the airline’s aircraft. This collaboration is all about boosting the passenger experience and showing off Alaska Airlines’ unique vibe right in the cabin.

The new branding panels are inspired by the “Spirit of the North,” capturing the essence of Alaska Airlines’ home in the Pacific Northwest. With a modern heritage design, these panels will add a fresh touch to the aircraft’s interior, reflecting the region’s natural beauty and the airline’s commitment to high-quality service.

As one of the most experienced interior products suppliers and turnkey aircraft interior integrators in the aerospace industry, Jamco America is well-positioned to lead this initiative. The partnership with SEKISUI KYDEX, known for its durable and sustainable materials, further enhances the project’s potential impact.

Innovative Design and Functionality
Jamco’s modular decorative panel system allows airlines to showcase their brand elements more effectively within the cabin. Utilizing custom-colored KYDEX® Thermoplastic, these panels are designed to withstand the rigors of high foot traffic and everyday wear and tear in aircraft environments. This durable and recyclable material not only welcomes passengers with elegance but also supports the airline’s sustainability goals.

Karyn McAlphin, creative design lead for SEKISUI KYDEX, expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration: “We were delighted to partner with Jamco America and Alaska to identify a bespoke solution to communicate the airline’s brand attributes in one of the most visible areas of the cabin.” This partnership highlights the importance of creative design in making a lasting impression on passengers.

Enhancing Aesthetic Appeal
The new bulkhead concept employs pressure forming, allowing for precise debossing that brings definition and depth to Alaska Airlines’ Aura Lines. This method not only adds a textured surface but also incorporates an on-brand look that conveys the airline’s warm and genuine traits. John Cornell, Director of Research & Development and Information Systems at Jamco America, noted, “The aesthetically pleasing and textured Aura Line panels add depth and a touch of Alaska’s natural beauty to the cabin experience.”By elevating the visual appeal of the cabin, these branding panels aim to create a welcoming atmosphere that resonates with passengers and reinforces the airline’s identity.

Overcoming Challenges Through Collaboration
The partnership exemplifies successful collaboration and innovation, especially in the face of challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic. Rapid prototyping and remote teamwork have allowed the companies to navigate logistical hurdles and develop solutions that enhance the airline’s offerings.“The partnership exemplifies successful collaboration and highlights how rapid prototyping and remote teamwork, even in the throes of COVID-19, can overcome logistical challenges, ultimately leading to innovative solutions in the airline industry,” Cornell added.

As Jamco America, Alaska Airlines, and SEKISUI KYDEX move forward with this initiative, the aviation industry eagerly anticipates the impact of these modular decorative branding panels on the passenger experience. This collaboration not only showcases the importance of brand identity in the cabin but also sets a new standard for aesthetic and functional design in aircraft interiors.

With these advancements, Alaska Airlines is set to further distinguish itself in a competitive market, ensuring that every journey reflects its commitment to excellence, sustainability, and the unique spirit of the Pacific Northwest. As air travel evolves, partnerships like this one will play a crucial role in enhancing the overall experience for travelers around the world.
