Thompson Aero Seating’s VantageNOVA offers a premium seat solution that balances luxury and efficiency, allowing airlines to maintain optimal cabin density while offering passengers an exceptional in-flight experience.
Key Features of the VantageNOV
Passenger-centered design: The VantageNOVA is built with a passenger-centered design, incorporating residential style cues to ensure an elevated flying experience. Sculpted surfaces create an elegant and modern silhouette, combining luxury with functionality. “This is Thompson’s first angled twin-aisle seat,” said Ross Burns, Head of Industrial Design. “We’ve designed it from the ground up with an emphasis on comfort, privacy, and high-end finishes.”
Flexible cabin Configurations: With a 40-inch pitch, the VantageNOVA can be adapted for high-density or premium cabin configurations, making it a versatile choice for airlines. Whether in herringbone or reverse-herringbone layouts, the seat offers a customizable platform with options for console designs, mood lighting, and upper stowage, allowing airlines to tailor the cabin to their needs.
Premium Features for a Luxurious Flight: VantageNOVA is packed with thoughtful amenities designed to enhance comfort. Key features include wireless charging, slimline overhung doors, bi-fold tables, and pivoting monitors for seamless in-flight entertainment. The Zero-G positioning function ensures maximum relaxation, allowing passengers to adjust their seating for comfort during work, sleep, or leisure.
Privacy & Versatility for Every Passenger: The outboard herringbone configuration ensures passengers are positioned away from the aisle for maximum privacy, while the reverse-herringbone layout offers additional customization, with features like a dropping armrest and extended console surfaces for added comfort and freedom.
A Future-Focused Solution: Unveiled at the 2024 Hamburg Aircraft Interiors Expo, the VantageNOVA has generated significant interest from airlines and industry professionals. Andy Morris, Chief Commercial Officer at Thompson Aero Seating, shared his excitement about the strong market reception and growing demand.
Thompson is set to deliver the first VantageNOVA seats in 2026, following rigorous testing at the company’s Dynamic Test Facility. As the aviation industry continues its post-pandemic recovery, the VantageNOVA provides a timely solution for airlines investing in twin-aisle aircraft and looking to offer an elevated passenger experience.
