Diehl Aviation has officially inaugurated its new facility in Querétaro, Mexico, marking a major step in the company’s strategic expansion across the Americas. The opening was celebrated with a high-profile ceremony attended by representatives from Mexican politics and leaders from the global aviation industry, highlighting the site’s significance for both regional growth and international supply chains.
Located in the PyMe Industrial Park near Santiago de Querétaro, the new site spans more than 8,200 square meters of production and office space, with a second expansion phase already planned to add up to 6,000 additional square meters. The investment, valued in the double-digit million Euro range, underscores Diehl Aviation’s long-term commitment to the region and its customers.
Production is set to begin shortly, with a focus on interior components for the civil aviation sector. A key highlight will be the manufacturing of extra-spacious overhead stowage compartments for the Airbus A220, designed to enhance passenger comfort and cabin efficiency. In addition, Diehl plans to support future urban air mobility by producing interior components for Eve’s eVTOL aircraft, reflecting the company’s forward-looking role in shaping next-generation passenger experience.

While the site currently employs around 20 people, staffing is projected to grow to approximately 500 over the medium term. Beyond its interior production, the Querétaro location offers strategic advantages, including time zone alignment with final assembly lines in Brazil, Canada, and the U.S., reduced transportation times, and stronger integration with local aerospace suppliers.

The inauguration was attended by the Governor of Querétaro, Mauricio Kuri González, along with senior government officials and executives from leading OEMs, underlining the strong local and international importance of the new facility.
With this expansion, Diehl Aviation strengthens its interiors production capabilities while reinforcing its role as a global partner to major aircraft manufacturers such as Airbus, Boeing, Bombardier, and Embraer, delivering innovative cabin solutions from the heart of one of Latin America’s most dynamic aerospace hubs.
