All Nippon Airways (ANA) and The Pokémon Company have revealed the designs for two new Pokémon-themed Boeing 787 aircraft that will enter service as part of celebrations marking the 30th anniversary of the Pokémon franchise.
The first aircraft, dubbed “Pokémon Jet Red,” is a Boeing 787-8 (JA819A) scheduled to begin operating on domestic routes across Japan at the end of July 2026. The livery features Pikachu alongside a selection of fire-type Pokémon that players can choose as their first partner at the start of their adventures.
A second aircraft, “Pokémon Jet Green,” a Boeing 787-9 (JA923A), will be deployed on international routes. Its exterior design incorporates Pikachu together with grass-type Pokémon that have appeared as starter Pokémon throughout the video game series. ANA has not yet announced an entry-into-service date for the aircraft.

The themed aircraft are the first two of three special liveries planned under the collaboration, with a third aircraft, “Pokémon Jet Blue,” set to be revealed at a later date.
In addition to the exterior designs, ANA will introduce a range of Pokémon-themed cabin elements and passenger amenities. These include commemorative boarding stickers, specially designed headrest covers featuring Pokémon characters displayed on the aircraft exteriors, limited-edition beverage cups carrying the Pokémon 30th anniversary branding, and custom cocktail napkins on international services.
Headrest covers will be available on domestic Economy Class flights and on international Economy and Premium Economy services, while the commemorative cups will be offered in the same cabin classes. Cocktail napkins will be provided on international Economy, Premium Economy and Business Class flights.
The initiative builds on the long-standing relationship between ANA and Pokémon, which dates back to the release of the original Pokémon Red Version and Pokémon Green Version games in Japan.
In a statement announcing the programme, ANA said: “In partnership with Pokémon, the ANA Group remains committed to creating meaningful travel experiences that inspire connection, discovery and bring the joy of travel to passengers across the world.”
Further details regarding flight schedules and the third aircraft in the series will be announced through ANA’s dedicated project channels.
