beOnd is strengthening its all-premium passenger offering with a US$20 million investment in next-generation cabin interiors through a partnership with Italian aircraft seating specialist Optimares. The programme will introduce bespoke lie-flat seating across the airline’s expanding Airbus A321 fleet.

The investment covers four complete shipsets comprising 256 custom-designed lie-flat seats, which will be installed on four incoming Airbus A321 aircraft currently undergoing preparation before entering commercial service.

Designed exclusively for beOnd’s all-premium cabin concept, the new Optimares seats combine Italian craftsmanship, ergonomic innovation and a highly personalised passenger experience. The installations will form part of a comprehensive cabin retrofit programme aimed at ensuring a consistent onboard product across the airline’s growing fleet.

Tero Taskila, CEO of beOnd, said the investment reinforces the airline’s commitment to delivering a premium travel experience from departure to arrival.

“When you fly to the most beautiful places in the world, the journey has to live up to the destination. That’s the standard we hold ourselves to,” Taskila said. “This investment is about making sure our award-winning cabin and personalised service come together on every aircraft to exceed our guests’ expectations.”

Alessandro Braca, CEO of Optimares, said the collaboration reflects a shared focus on passenger comfort and premium cabin design.

“We share beOnd’s belief that comfort is a form of craft,” Braca said. “Together we’ve created a cabin that combines Italian design with a passenger-first approach, where every material and every detail has been carefully considered.”

According to beOnd, the agreement marks one of the airline’s largest investments in cabin interiors since its launch and will support fleet expansion while maintaining a uniform premium passenger experience across new routes in Europe and other international markets.

Rather than offering multiple cabin classes, beOnd’s boutique all-premium configuration ensures every passenger benefits from the same lie-flat seating, privacy and elevated onboard environment. The additional shipsets will help preserve cabin consistency as new Airbus A321 aircraft are introduced into service.

Taskila added that passengers increasingly choose beOnd for its emphasis on comfort, privacy and a travel experience that differs from conventional airlines, with the latest investment ensuring those standards remain consistent as the fleet grows.

The agreement further strengthens the long-term partnership between beOnd and Optimares, with both companies reaffirming their commitment to innovation, craftsmanship and the future of premium aircraft interiors.
