AkzoNobel Aerospace Coatings is set to strengthen its regional presence in the Middle East with the launch of a new colour blending and distribution facility in Dubai, aimed at improving local support for airlines, MROs, OEMs, and aerospace partners across the region.
Scheduled to become operational in Q2 2026, the Dubai site will serve as a regional hub, enabling locally blended and stocked aerospace coatings tailored to individual customer requirements. The move is designed to reduce lead times, improve supply chain responsiveness, and enhance operational efficiency for commercial aviation customers.
From the new facility, AkzoNobel will provide local blending of its Aerobase, Aerodur 3001, and Eclipse colour ranges, alongside stocked availability of primers, topcoats, and thinners. The facility will also support programmes such as the COMAC C919, including access to 44 Aerodur 3001 colour options.

Colour blending operations will be supported by automated and precision-controlled processes, ensuring repeatable and reliable colour accuracy in line with AkzoNobel’s global quality standards.
Xavier Rijmenans, EMEA Sales Director at AkzoNobel Aerospace Coatings, said the new facility reflects the company’s long-term commitment to the Middle East aerospace market.
