Anuvu has completed the install of its Airconnect inflight connectivity system on over 100 Turkish Airlines’ Airbus A321 and Boeing B737NG narrow-body aircraft. Anuvu is one of the leading providers of high-speed connectivity and entertainment solutions for demanding worldwide mobility markets,

The solution integrates Anuvu’s Ku-band network, Airconnect system, and Airtime portal with Turkish Technic’s servers and wireless access points, and Profen’s Türkiye-based terrestrial infrastructure, for a best-in-class experience on both international and domestic flights.

“With Anuvu’s Airtime portal, Turkish Airlines’ passengers can now easily and quickly connect their devices through our simple activation process,” says Mike Pigott, executive vice president, connectivity, Anuvu. “The portal validates WiFi with business class and Miles&Smiles loyalty passengers, processes payment in local currency and complies with local ISP regulations, creating a great onboard experience.

“Installing over 100 Airconnect systems is a great milestone and I’m proud of the dedication of our team in reaching this goal. Through our collaborative partnerships, we deliver a reliable and high-performing service, raising the standard for inflight connectivity through continuous innovation,” adds Pigott.

Anuvu’s Airconnect system, installed on over 1,000 aircraft worldwide, provides global, high-speed connectivity that allows passengers to browse, work, scroll, message, and stay connected with their loved ones.

“As Turkish Airlines, the global airline having the most comprehensive worldwide reach capability, we ensure our passengers enjoy an enhanced inflight experience, including top-quality connectivity for uninterrupted online activities at 30,000ft.” says Levent Konukcu, chief investment and strategy officer, Turkish Airlines. “As we’re impressed by Anuvu’s efficient installation and delivery of high-speed connectivity we’re glad to collaborate with them to offer an IFC solution across multiple routes.”

“We are proud to collaborate with Anuvu to provide cutting-edge connectivity solutions for Turkish Airlines, across its domestic and international routes. We believe that Profen will make significant contribution with its state-of-the-art ground stations in Türkiye and its long-standing Satcom experience.” adds Cem Odaman, chief business development officer of Profen. “This partnership underscores our dedication to advancing the inflight experience for passengers and providing seamless access to high-speed internet. It’s a milestone for both companies, setting a new standard in inflight connectivity excellence.”

As part of the installation program, Anuvu obtained European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) approval for three internally developed Supplemental Type Certificates (STCs) for Airbus A321, Boeing 737-700 and Boeing 737-900ER aircraft.
