ExecuJet MRO Services Middle East has completed a full cabin interior refurbishment and exterior repaint of an Embraer Legacy 650, highlighting Dubai’s growing capability to deliver comprehensive aircraft refurbishment services entirely within the UAE.

The project demonstrates the evolution of Dubai’s aerospace ecosystem, enabling operators to undertake complete cabin upgrades and livery painting locally rather than outsourcing work to overseas maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) providers.

The cabin refurbishment included a full revarnishing of the aircraft’s cabinetry, carpet replacement and the re-covering of dado panels, overhead panels, sidewalls and ceiling sections. Metallic components were replated to match the updated colour scheme, while the seats were redesigned with a contemporary aesthetic and fitted with new foam and leather upholstery.

ExecuJet carried out the seat refurbishment in coordination with Embraer and the seat manufacturer to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements for 16G-certified aircraft seats. The completed cabin features a modern interior design that complements the aircraft’s newly applied exterior livery.

Nick Weber, Regional Vice President Middle East at ExecuJet MRO Services, said the company’s ability to provide heavy maintenance, aircraft painting and cabin refurbishment at a single location strengthens Dubai’s position as a regional hub for aircraft MRO services.

He added that demand for cabin upgrades in the Middle East continues to grow, prompting ExecuJet to expand its in-house capabilities to deliver a broader range of maintenance and refurbishment services while reducing aircraft downtime.

ExecuJet MRO Services Middle East operates a purpose-built, 15,344-square-metre air-conditioned facility offering maintenance support for business aircraft from manufacturers including Dassault Aviation, Bombardier, Embraer and Hawker.

The company is also an authorised service centre for Embraer business jets and has supported the manufacturer’s aircraft in the region for many years through a long-standing relationship with Embraer.
