flyadeal has introduced a newly designed cabin crew uniform, marking a significant step in the airline’s evolving brand identity. The refreshed look was officially rolled out across its four operational bases, Jeddah, Riyadh, Dammam and Madinah, during the Eid Al Fitr period.
The new uniform reflects flyadeal’s positioning as a modern Saudi airline, combining contemporary aesthetics with cultural sensitivity, functionality, and crew comfort—key pillars in today’s cabin experience design.
At the core of the new uniform is a strong alignment with flyadeal’s visual identity. The airline’s signature “equal sign” logo is subtly integrated into the design elements, reinforcing its brand philosophy of equality in travel.

Purple, flyadeal’s defining brand colour features prominently across the collection. Female crew uniforms incorporate bold purple tones through blouses offered in both three-quarter and full-length sleeve options, while male uniforms use refined purple accents in vest linings, pocket seams, and jacket detailing. This ensures consistent brand visibility throughout the cabin environment.
A distinctive design feature is the coordinated use of neckties, scarves, and hijabs, which not only complement the overall aesthetic but also serve a functional role in visually differentiating crew seniority levels.
The uniform has been designed with careful attention to Saudi cultural norms, particularly around modesty, while still offering flexibility and comfort for crew operating in dynamic environments.
Crew members are provided with multiple styling options within defined brand guidelines, enabling a degree of personalisation without compromising consistency. This flexibility is increasingly seen as a key factor in improving crew satisfaction and performance, particularly on high-frequency short-haul operations typical of low-cost carriers.
The development of the new uniform was a collaborative effort between flyadeal’s in-house design team and Al-Harithy Tailoring, highlighting a growing trend of airlines leveraging local partnerships for design and manufacturing.
Importantly, the airline’s cabin crew were actively involved throughout the design process, providing feedback from initial concept stages through to final production. This user-centric approach ensures that the uniform is not only visually aligned with the brand but also operationally practical for day-to-day use.
According to Steven Greenway, the new uniform represents a natural evolution of flyadeal’s identity as a “modern, inclusive and proud Saudi airline,” while also strengthening the presence of cabin crew as frontline brand ambassadors.
From an interiors and passenger experience perspective, uniform design plays a critical role in shaping first impressions and reinforcing brand perception onboard. A cohesive, well-designed uniform contributes to a more polished and professional cabin environment, directly influencing passenger confidence and overall experience.
As airlines increasingly compete on experience as much as price, cabin crew uniforms are becoming a strategic branding tool rather than just functional attire. flyadeal’s refreshed design aligns with this trend, integrating visual identity, cultural authenticity, and operational practicality.
With a cabin crew workforce now exceeding 700, the new uniform also supports scalability, ensuring consistency across a growing network while allowing for adaptability in diverse operating conditions.
The introduction of the new uniform signals flyadeal’s continued investment in soft product elements, an area gaining importance across the industry as airlines look to differentiate beyond seat and cabin hardware.
For the wider aircraft interiors ecosystem, the development underscores the growing intersection of design, culture, and functionality in shaping the next generation of onboard experienc
