Scandinavian Airlines has begun rolling out high-speed inflight connectivity powered by Starlink across its fleet, starting 24 March 2026.
The service is being introduced initially on the Airbus A320 family, with installation planned across additional aircraft types later, subject to regulatory approvals. SAS said a significant portion of the fleet is expected to be equipped before the summer season.

The Starlink system uses a low-Earth orbit satellite network to provide gate-to-gate connectivity, including on routes at northern latitudes where traditional connectivity has been limited. The airline stated that speeds can reach up to 500 Mbps.
SAS has partnered with 3 to provide free WiFi access for EuroBonus members as part of a broader commercial agreement.

Whether they want to work, create, play or stay in touch, this solution brings the onboard experience closer to how people live today”, says Paul Verhagen, Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer at SAS.
The introduction of high-speed connectivity forms part of SAS’ ongoing restructuring efforts and focus on improving the digital inflight experience. The airline plans to add additional onboard digital services following the rollout.
A demonstration flight was conducted on 14 January to test the system under operational conditions prior to the service launch.
