Flynas is stepping up its game with a major cabin upgrade. The airline recently signed a deal with Safran Seats for 60 brand-new Airbus A320neo aircraft with a fresh lineup of seats designed for better comfort, smarter features, and a smoother ride, even on longer flights.

Announced at Arabian Travel Market 2024 in Dubai, the partnership brings in Safran’s latest seat tech, including customized designs for flynas. This development reflects a growing trend—passenger expectations are rising, even in the low-cost segment. The new seat configuration, including enhanced Economy and a Premium front-cabin section, shows a targeted response to the demands of longer short-haul routes and digitally connected travelers.

Each A320neo will come with 174 seats starting from late 2025. The Economy seats are packed with practical touches like dual USB ports (Type A and C with 60W output), phone and tablet holders, coat hooks, cup holders, and more. Meanwhile, the Premium section up front will offer four rows of seats with extra legroom, adjustable headrests, and blocked middle seats for more personal space — a solid upgrade for anyone looking to fly smarter without going full business class.

“This collaboration is a big move toward creating a cabin experience that’s modern, functional, and designed around the real needs of today’s travelers,” said Bander Almohanna, CEO of flynas. “It also supports our bigger goals — including expanding our global network and helping make Saudi Arabia more connected.”

Quentin Munier, EVP at Safran Seats France, added, “We’re proud to partner with flynas on this project. Our Z200 seat brings real advantages for both passengers and the airline, and we’re excited to be part of their growth journey.”

The upgrade is part of flynas’ plan to become the world’s top low-cost airline — a goal that feels more realistic with these passenger-focused changes coming onboard.
