Hainan Airlines has been named the launch customer in China for Thompson Aero Seating’s Vantage full-flat business class seat platform. The seats will be installed on the airline’s Airbus A321neo aircraft, with entry into service expected in 2027.
The programme marks the first time Hainan Airlines will introduce a new-generation full-flat business class seat on its narrow-body fleet, reflecting a broader shift among airlines toward enhancing premium offerings on single-aisle aircraft.
According to the companies, the Vantage platform will be configured to meet the airline’s requirements, focusing on passenger comfort, privacy and cabin efficiency.
