Southwest Airlines has announced a partnership with Siete Foods to introduce a new snack option for passengers seated in Extra Leg Room (ELR) seats.
The collaboration will debut with Siete Mini Grain Free Mexican Wedding Cookies, which were selected following customer research and product testing involving more than 200 snack options. The cookies are made using almond flour, pecans, powdered sugar and cinnamon, and are positioned as grain-free, gluten-free and dairy-free.
The new snack will be offered initially on select flights from April 21 as part of a limited preview, before being rolled out more broadly from June 18. The product will also feature co-branded packaging, marking the airline’s first such initiative for onboard snacks.

The addition forms part of the airline’s ongoing updates to its onboard food and beverage offering, with a focus on expanding choice within its premium seating products.
