Honda Aircraft Company has revealed the HondaJet APMG S, a new performance and capability upgrade package designed for owners and operators of HondaJet Classic and HondaJet APMG (Advanced Performance Modification Group) aircraft.
The new APMG S programme enables early-production HondaJet operators to benefit from technical innovations introduced on later aircraft variants, including the HondaJet Elite S, extending performance enhancements and future-ready avionics across the legacy fleet.
The APMG S upgrade package will be offered through Honda Aircraft Company’s Greensboro Service Center as well as its global network of 21 Authorized Service Centers. Honda Aircraft Company has already completed APMG S modifications on several pre-owned aircraft, which are now available through the manufacturer’s pre-owned aircraft programme.

The APMG S package includes avionics software and hardware upgrades that deliver faster processing speeds and support future system enhancements. Key features from the HondaJet Elite S are also incorporated, including the Advanced Steering Augmentation System (ASAS), which improves handling precision and expands crosswind capability.
As part of the upgrade, aircraft receive a 300-pound increase in Maximum Takeoff Weight (MTOW) compared with unmodified legacy HondaJets, enabling greater payload flexibility and expanded useful load options. The package also introduces Graphical Weight and Balance functionality, allowing pilots to calculate takeoff and landing weights using fuel and loading inputs.
Honda Aircraft Company is also offering interior refurbishment options for aircraft undergoing APMG S modifications at its Greensboro Service Center. By combining performance upgrades with cabin refurbishment, the company aims to enhance aircraft asset value while minimizing labour time and downtime for owners.
“Honda Aircraft Company has challenged itself to provide our customers with top-level performance from the time the very first HondaJet rolled off the production line,” said Amod Kelkar, Senior Vice President, Chief Commercial Officer and Large Project Leader for HondaJet Echelon. “As we approach the tenth anniversary of our first HondaJet delivery, we are excited to offer our customers the opportunity to upgrade their aircraft with the advanced technology and performance of more recent HondaJet iterations.”
The APMG S modifications package has been certified by the US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) for installation on US-registered aircraft, with foreign certification planned to follow.
