Indigo is set to provide travel vendors globally with comprehensive access to Its NDC (New Distribution Capability) content through the Amadeus Travel Platform. This collaboration aims to provide travel vendors globally with access to IndiGo’s offerings, leveraging advanced airline and distribution technology to reach a broader market.

‘The adoption of NDC technology is set to revolutionize the travel distribution landscape’ says the indigo. Unlike traditional distribution methods, NDC offers a standardized approach that allows airlines to deliver richer, more personalized content directly to travel sellers and corporate clients.

NDC Enhancing Customer Experience

NDC technology represents a transformative shift in the travel distribution landscape. It standardizes messaging and streamlines the distribution process, allowing airlines to present their content more efficiently and elevate their retailing strategies. For corporate clients and travel agencies, NDC facilitates a more straightforward booking experience by granting direct access to IndiGo’s full range of products. This integration not only enhances operational efficiency but also enables the provision of exclusive deals and promotions tailored to individual traveler profiles.

Pieter Elbers, Chief Executive Officer of IndiGo, commented, “Amadeus’s deep integration within the global travel seller ecosystem will support IndiGo in leveraging IATA’s NDC and ONE Order initiatives, ensuring an exceptional experience for our customers.”

IndiGo’s adoption of Amadeus NDC capabilities, coupled with seamless integration through Navitaire’s IT systems, allows for the creation of dynamically priced offers, the airline says. This capability enhances ancillary sales and optimizes the customer experience across various sales channels. IndiGo is currently operational with NDC 21.3 distribution capabilities, servicing bookings from agents in Singapore, the UAE, and Africa.

Pieter Elbers, added, “Our agreement with Amadeus is a significant step forward in advancing our distribution strategy. It will enable us to expand our reach and offer our innovative products on a global scale.”

This partnership marks a pivotal development for IndiGo, reinforcing its commitment to leveraging cutting-edge technology to enhance its distribution and customer engagement strategies.
