JetBlue has revealed its latest special aircraft livery, Isla del Bluencanto, celebrating Puerto Rico’s culture, creativity, and heritage. The Airbus A320 design, created by Puerto Rican artist Juan Gutiérrez Rovira (The Stencil Network), was selected by public vote earlier this year.

The colorful livery incorporates iconic symbols of Puerto Rican identity, including the jíbaro figure, tropical fruits, native flora, and the phrase “Somos Boricua” on the aircraft belly. The design aims to connect Puerto Ricans across the diaspora while showcasing the island as a premier travel destination.

“Created by a homegrown artist as a tribute to the island, the design reflects Puerto Rico’s pride and heritage while reaffirming JetBlue’s deep and lasting commitment,” said Marty St. George, JetBlue president.

The aircraft’s unveiling at Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport in San Juan was attended by community members, local leaders, and JetBlue crewmembers. In addition to celebrating local culture, JetBlue highlighted community engagement initiatives, including a partnership with the Ricky Martin Foundation, which invited local children to design their own tailfin art.

JetBlue has been Puerto Rico’s largest airline since 2002, operating more than 45 daily flights across the island and employing nearly 800 local crewmembers. The launch of Isla del Bluencanto reinforces JetBlue’s commitment to promoting tourism, supporting local talent, and connecting Puerto Rico with the Americas.
