KLM Royal Dutch entrusts RECARO for A321 seating

KLM Royal Dutch has renewed its trust in RECARO Aircraft Seating for its latest A321neo fleet. The new A321 adorned with the RECARO’s latest R1 and R2 seats took its debut flight today from Hamburg to Amsterdam. RECARO had begun the seat deliveries last year.

…And the RECARO tradition continues with KLM Royal Dutch. Some of the salient features of the seats are

  • customized backrest developed specifically for KLM
  • seats have integrated BYOD holder directly into the backrest along with a USB-C power port.
  • enlarged table on the R1 on the Economy seat, a KLM exclusive feature.
  • eat dress covers are crafted with one of the lightest weight synthetic leathers on the market enhancing sustainability
  • removal of the traditional high literature pocket leads to reduced seat weight

Configured in a hybrid layout, the aircraft is fully equipped with RECARO seating, featuring 36 R2 seats in the European-style Business Class cabin and 191 R1 seats in Economy Class.

Expressing confidence that the seats will being enhanced level of comfort to passengers and sustainability to KLM for years to come, Mark Hiller, chief executive, RECARO Aircraft Seating and RECARO Holding went on to congratulate the airline on its successful inaugural A320 flight. He further stressed the importance of developing seats that meets both the customer needs and passenger comfort.

Thrilled to celebrate this milestone, Marjan Rintel, chief executive KLM expressed his wish to see how the passengers will experience the new A321neo.
