United Airlines has introduced a dedicated inflight entertainment channel featuring content from NBCUniversal’s streaming platform Peacock, adding a new content category across its seatback screens and personal device platforms.

The channel became available on May 1 across more than 160,000 seatback screens and through the airline’s mobile app. It will be deployed across a fleet of over 800 aircraft equipped with seatback entertainment systems. According to the airline, new titles from Peacock’s catalogue will be added on a rolling basis.

Initial programming includes selected episodes from series such as The Traitors (Season 4), All Her Fault, The Paper, and Poker Face. Additional titles, including The Copenhagen Test and Ponies, are expected to be introduced in June.

“Entertainment plays a central role in the onboard customer experience, and we’re continuing to expand both the quality and variety of what’s available,” said Dominic Green, Director of Inflight Entertainment at United Airlines. “With these popular series from Peacock, we’re introducing a standout lineup of widely recognized series to our seatback screens and personal device entertainment, further strengthening our premium inflight entertainment offering and giving customers more engaging ways to spend their time in the air.”

The addition of the Peacock channel expands United’s broader inflight entertainment library, which includes more than 1,600 hours of content spanning over 450 films, 1,000 TV episodes, international programming, and podcast content.

United’s inflight entertainment systems are installed across more than 800 aircraft, with features including Bluetooth-enabled seatback screens. The airline is also introducing new aircraft equipped with 4K OLED seatback displays as part of its cabin upgrade programme.

The move reflects continued airline investment in curated content partnerships as carriers seek to differentiate onboard digital experiences alongside hardware upgrades.
