Emirates has expanded the deployment of its retrofitted Boeing 777 aircraft, introducing Premium Economy and upgraded cabin interiors on services to Beirut and Beijing as part of its ongoing fleet modernisation programme.
From 6 January 2026, flights EK953/954 between Dubai and Beirut will be operated by refurbished four-class Boeing 777s, marking the first time passengers on the route will experience Emirates’ Premium Economy cabin alongside the airline’s new 1-2-1 Business Class layout. Beijing will follow on 1 February 2026, with services EK306/307 becoming the fourth destination in mainland China to receive Emirates’ latest-generation interiors.

The refurbished Boeing 777 features a complete cabin redesign across all classes, incorporating contemporary colour palettes, Ghaf Tree-inspired motifs, and wood-finished surfaces. The aircraft is configured with 260 Economy Class seats, 24 Premium Economy seats, 40 Business Class seats in a fully flat 1-2-1 arrangement, and eight First Class suites.
Premium Economy continues to be a central pillar of Emirates’ retrofit strategy, positioned to bridge the gap between Economy and Business Class. The cabin features leather seats with enhanced pitch and recline, leg and footrests, adjustable headrests, in-seat power, a wood-finished side table, and a 13.3-inch IFE display. Soft furnishings, including larger pillows and blankets, complement the hard product, while select flights also offer amenity kits and exclusive Chandon Vintage Brut 2017 sparkling wine.
The Business Class cabin has been comprehensively upgraded to provide direct aisle access for every passenger, improved privacy, and a more residential aesthetic. Seats are upholstered in champagne-coloured leather, consistent with the airline’s latest A380 interiors, and feature refined stitching, padded headrests, and expanded personal space for work and rest.
Emirates’ Boeing 777 retrofit programme is one of the most extensive in the industry, underscoring the airline’s focus on cabin consistency, enhanced passenger experience, and long-term asset life extension across its widebody fleet.
