Alaska Airlines debuts long-haul Business Class suites

Alaska Airlines is introducing a new long-haul Business Class experience featuring private suites, upgraded dining and enhanced onboard comfort, as it prepares to launch international services on the Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner.

The product will enter service in spring 2026 on routes from Seattle to destinations in Europe and Asia.

Private suites and onboard comfort

Passengers in Business Class will have access to fully lie-flat seats designed as private suites with sliding doors and direct aisle access. Each seat converts into a flat bed and is paired with bedding developed in collaboration with Filson, including a mattress pad, duvet and multiple pillows.

Each suite will also feature an 18-inch high-definition entertainment screen, access to a library of films and TV content, noise-reducing headsets, power outlets and wireless charging.

Dining and onboard service

The airline will offer a multi-course dining service with menus tailored to specific routes. Passengers will be able to select meals in advance, with options including regionally inspired dishes depending on the destination.

The onboard service includes a range of beverages such as wines, cocktails and specialty coffee. Dessert service will include a build-your-own ice cream option.

Amenity kits will include skincare products from Salt & Stone along with other travel essentials.

Connectivity and lounge access

High-speed onboard connectivity powered by Starlink is expected to be introduced on the 787-9 fleet later in 2026, providing gate-to-gate internet access.

Business Class passengers will also have access to airport lounges across the airline’s network, as well as partner lounges through the oneworld alliance.

International rollout

The new experience will debut on flights from Seattle to Rome, followed by Seoul and Tokyo, as Alaska Airlines expands its long-haul network.
