This new offering complements La Première’s gastronomic programme, which features menus by three-Michelin-starred chef Arnaud Lallement, desserts by World Pastry Champion Angelo Musa, and a wine and spirits selection curated by Xavier Thuizat, Head Sommelier of the Hôtel de Crillon and Meilleur Sommelier de France 2022.
Air France has partnered with world-renowned mixologist Matthias Giroud to develop a new signature cocktail collection exclusively for its La Première cabin, reinforcing the airline’s focus on high-end personalization and in-flight service innovation.
This bespoke initiative is part of Air France’s broader strategy to continuously enhance the premium passenger experience through elevated onboard offerings that reflect French elegance, craftsmanship, and sensory design. The three new cocktails, featuring alcoholic, low-alcohol, and alcohol-free options, were developed with an emphasis on French ingredients, refined flavor balance, and modern mixology.
A Sensory Journey at Altitude
Each cocktail has been meticulously crafted to align with Air France’s values of elegance, pleasure, and respect, while addressing the unique tasting conditions at cruising altitude:
- Belle Époque: A bold, bitter, and zesty take on the Negroni, featuring orange hydrosol, a nod to French aromatic tradition.
- Parfum de France: A low-alcohol creation blending Chardonnay and Muscat wine notes with raspberry liqueur and verbena, inspired by the world of viniculture.
- L’Éveil: A vibrant, alcohol-free cocktail infused with cranberry juice, lime, mint, and ginger, designed for guests seeking a premium, non-alcoholic option.
For the first time, Air France is introducing a completely alcohol-free signature cocktail within its La Première offer, showcasing its inclusive approach to luxury.
Designed for the Premium Cabin Experience
The cocktails are served in an exclusively designed glassware range, created to enhance aroma and mouthfeel at altitude. Each drink is also presented to passengers in a custom-designed box, creating a sensory and aesthetic reveal in line with Air France’s cabin service choreography.
“It’s an honour to craft this first-ever signature cocktail collection for La Première,” said Matthias Giroud. “Air France represents the excellence of French savoir-faire and a spirit of travel that aligns perfectly with my philosophy of mixology.”
Premium Experience, Reimagined
This launch reflects Air France’s ongoing investment in luxury service differentiation, integrating cabin service design, culinary excellence, and hospitality craftsmanship. By merging the art of mixology with the context of long-haul travel, the airline continues to push the boundaries of what’s possible in the cabin and sets a new benchmark for La Première in-flight hospitality.
