Cafe Akasa, the onboard dining brand of Akasa Air, is celebrating the festive spirit of Ganesh Chaturthi with a specially designed meal that will be served throughout August 2025. Returning for the fourth year, the festive menu draws inspiration from traditional Maharashtrian flavours and offers travellers a chance to enjoy a taste of home while in the skies.

The thoughtfully curated platter features a comforting Gur Mewe ka Paratha paired with Sookhi Moong Dal ki Sabzi, a decadent Trio of Mawa Modaks, and a beverage of choice. Passengers can pre-book the festive meal between 1st and 31st August 2025 via Akasa Air’s website or mobile app.

Reflecting on the festive offering, an Akasa Air spokesperson noted that Ganesh Chaturthi evokes a deep sense of nostalgia with memories of home-cooked delicacies and family celebrations. “With this meal, we wanted to bring that festive joy and regional essence to our passengers in the skies. Every element of the menu has been designed to combine comfort, flavour, and the spirit of celebration,” the spokesperson said.

Since its launch in August 2022, Akasa Air has made curated festive menus a key part of its inflight dining experience. Over the years, Café Akasa has introduced meals to mark a variety of occasions from Makar Sankranti and Eid to Holi, Onam, Diwali, and Christmas bringing regional authenticity to its menu. The airline even offers pre-selected cakes as part of its regular service, allowing passengers to celebrate special occasions like birthdays onboard.

Café Akasa’s menu is refreshed frequently and currently features 45+ meal options, ranging from fusion dishes to regional favourites and indulgent desserts, crafted by reputed chefs from across India. The airline says this focus on variety is central to its philosophy of redefining inflight dining with gourmet experiences that cater to different tastes and dietary preferences.

By blending festive traditions with modern inflight dining, Akasa Air continues to build a reputation for offering more than just meals it offers travellers moments of celebration and connection, even at 35,000 feet.
