dnata, a leading global air and travel services provider, has been awarded a multi-year contract to deliver inflight catering for Etihad Airways at Queen Alia International Airport (AMM) in Jordan. This partnership underscores dnata’s growing influence in inflight hospitality and its commitment to delivering culinary excellence that complements the onboard passenger experience.

As part of the agreement, dnata’s experienced catering team in Jordan will produce and uplift over 90,000 meals annually to serve Etihad’s 14 weekly flights between Amman and Abu Dhabi. The collaboration is expected to significantly enhance the passenger experience by introducing menus that blend culinary creativity with regional flair and premium presentation.

Crafting Flavourful Journeys

“Etihad Airways is renowned for its high service standards, and we’re proud to be selected as their catering partner of choice,” said Dana Kamal Adwan, CEO of dnata Catering & Retail Jordan. “This contract is a strong endorsement of our team’s culinary ambition, operational excellence and ability to deliver at scale, day after day. From bold, locally inspired flavours to beautifully balanced premium-cabin dishes, we will work closely with the airline to create world-class menus that elevate the passenger journey.”

For Etihad Airways, which consistently ranks among the top global carriers for its inflight service and cabin design, the collaboration with dnata further reinforces its commitment to quality and innovation, especially in the realm of onboard dining, a key differentiator in passenger satisfaction and airline branding.

Inflight Dining at Scale

With this new partnership, dnata now provides catering services to over 30 airlines operating out of Jordan, supported by a local team of 400 professionals. In the 2024–25 financial year alone, dnata uplifted more than 4.5 million meals for over 24,000 flights departing from AMM.

Globally, dnata’s catering and retail division employs more than 10,400 professionals, producing over 110 million meals annually across more than 60 locations. The company supports a diverse client base, including full-service carriers, low-cost airlines, and VIP operators.

Enhancing Cabin Experience Through Cuisine

The partnership with Etihad Airways aligns closely with the evolving priorities of the aircraft interiors industry, where passenger experience is increasingly defined by a fusion of aesthetics, comfort, and culinary innovation. As airlines continue to enhance their cabin environments, inflight dining has become a critical touchpoint, capable of delivering regional authenticity, luxury appeal, and a multisensory journey at altitude.

By investing in locally inspired menus and consistent premium service delivery, dnata’s inflight catering solution not only supports operational excellence but also contributes directly to the overall cabin experience, a key factor in passenger loyalty and airline differentiation.
