Eutelsat and Anuvu have entered into a new multi-year agreement for capacity on the EUTELSAT 10B satellite, strengthening their collaboration in the rapidly evolving inflight connectivity (IFC) market.
The agreement will see Anuvu utilise high-throughput Ku-band capacity on the EUTELSAT 10B satellite to support and enhance its next-generation inflight connectivity services for commercial airlines, VIP and VVIP aircraft, and other mobility sectors. The companies confirmed that the capacity will also support connectivity services for a major global airline, although the airline was not disclosed.
The partnership highlights the growing demand for reliable, high-speed inflight internet connectivity as airlines continue investing in passenger experience upgrades and digitally connected cabins.

Under the agreement, Anuvu will leverage the advanced capabilities of the EUTELSAT 10B satellite to improve coverage, capacity flexibility and network performance across key aviation corridors.
EUTELSAT 10B, which entered service in July 2023, is positioned at 10° East, an orbital location that provides extensive coverage stretching from the Americas across Europe, the Middle East, Africa and into Asia.
The satellite has been specifically designed to support mobility connectivity markets and features multi-beam high-throughput Ku-band payloads tailored for aviation and maritime applications.
According to Eutelsat, the satellite also incorporates a fifth-generation digital transparent processor, enabling flexible capacity allocation and more efficient spectrum utilisation. This architecture allows operators to dynamically optimise bandwidth based on traffic demand and regional connectivity requirements.
The companies believe this flexibility will become increasingly important as airlines continue to experience rising passenger demand for streaming, browsing, messaging and other high-bandwidth inflight applications.
The agreement also reflects the growing industry trend toward multi-orbit connectivity strategies, where satellite operators combine Geostationary Orbit (GEO) and Low Earth Orbit (LEO) infrastructure to deliver more resilient and flexible connectivity solutions.
Eutelsat noted that EUTELSAT 10B forms part of a broader portfolio of high-capacity satellites supporting aviation connectivity, including EUTELSAT 3B, EUTELSAT 172B and KONNECT VHTS.
In addition, the company continues expanding its Low Earth Orbit capabilities through the OneWeb constellation, allowing it to offer hybrid multi-orbit connectivity solutions for airlines and mobility operators worldwide.
As airlines continue upgrading cabin connectivity infrastructure, demand for seamless, high-speed and globally available internet services is expected to grow significantly over the coming years.
