Gulfstream Aerospace Corp. has achieved a major milestone with the first flight of its all-new Gulfstream G300, officially launching the aircraft’s flight test program and underscoring the program’s advanced maturity.
The first G300 departed Ben Gurion International Airport at 8:05 a.m. local time, completing a 2-hour-25-minute flight at Mach 0.75 and 30,000 ft (9,144 m). Introduced on September 30 in Savannah, the G300 is positioned to set a new benchmark in the super-midsize business jet segment, particularly in terms of cabin comfort and interior space.
Largest Cabin in the Super-Midsize Segment
A key differentiator of the G300 is its class-leading interior, offering the largest cabin in the super-midsize category. Designed to accommodate up to 10 passengers, the cabin features two distinct living areas, a spacious, well-appointed galley, and generous baggage capacity.
Natural light plays a central role in the cabin experience, with 10 Gulfstream Panoramic Oval Windows enhancing the sense of openness. Passenger comfort is further elevated by the lowest cabin altitude in its class, 4,800 ft (1,463 m) at 41,000 ft (12,497 m) alongside 100% fresh air, a standard plasma air ionization system, and exceptionally low cabin noise levels.
Performance Meets Interior Comfort
Beyond the cabin, the G300 delivers strong performance credentials, capable of flying 3,600 nm (6,667 km) at Mach 0.80 or 3,000 nm (5,556 km) at Mach 0.84. Fuel efficiency is achieved through Gulfstream’s clean, swept-wing design combined with Honeywell HTF7250G engines, supporting both operational efficiency and sustainability goals.
Advanced Flight Deck Technology
The aircraft is equipped with the Gulfstream Harmony Flight Deck, featuring six touchscreens, Phase-of-Flight intelligence, Synthetic Vision Primary Flight Display with 3D terrain imagery, and the company’s award-winning Predictive Landing Performance System, which enhances safety and situational awareness for flight crews.
Program Progress
Before the first flight, the G300 program completed more than 2,000 hours of ground testing, with two additional test aircraft already in production, reflecting strong momentum toward certification.
