Immfly is expanding its collaboration with China Airlines, with more than ten Airbus A330 aircraft set to receive the company’s Wireless In-Flight Entertainment (W-IFE) system. The rollout follows the success of the earlier integration on the airline’s Boeing 737-800 fleet.
The move is part of a new five-year agreement that strengthens Immfly’s presence in Asia, two years after the company first entered the Taiwanese market. The digital platform offers streaming entertainment, onboard retail, and flight information through passengers’ personal electronic devices.
Pablo Linz, co-founder of Immfly, said, “The modular system enables airlines to evolve their digital strategy at their own pace while opening new revenue opportunities,” adding that passengers have easy access to movies, music, magazines, and shopping via smartphones or tablets.

China Airlines noted that mobile streaming has become a preferred option among younger travellers, with utilisation rates reaching up to 90% on the 737 fleet this year. Extending the system to the A330s, the airline said, marks another step in its digital transformation and supports its goal of operating low-carbon, sustainable cabins.
China Airlines was the first in Taiwan to introduce Immfly’s Fantasy Sky Wireless Entertainment System on its B737 aircraft, integrating entertainment, retail, and connectivity into a single platform accessible on any personal device.
As airlines continue to modernise legacy IFE hardware, lightweight wireless systems are gaining traction for their lower fuel impact, faster deployment cycles, and enhanced revenue-generation potential.
The expanded China Airlines–Immfly partnership reflects the broader shift toward modular digital platforms designed to personalise the passenger experience while supporting sustainability targets.
