In a strategic move to bolster aftermarket resilience, Satair and Collins Aerospace have extended their parts distribution agreement, marking more than 50 years of collaboration in supporting cabin interior systems for Airbus, Boeing, and other platforms

Deepening MRO‑Ready Distribution

Under the renewed contract, Satair will continue to manage inventory, forecasting, and global delivery of Collins’ premium cabin products, including:

  • Emergency Supplemental Oxygen Systems
  • Goodrich Galley Beverage Makers
  • Logo, Wing, Landing, Navigation, Emergency, Anti‑Collision, and Taxi Lighting

By combining Satair’s proven material‑management frameworks with Collins Aerospace’s engineered cabin technologies, both companies aim to significantly reduce Aircraft on Ground (AOG) events and improve part‑availability metrics for MRO facilities worldwide.

“This extension builds on our long‑standing collaboration with Collins Aerospace, allowing us to provide airlines and MRO facilities worldwide with critical safety and comfort products,” said Cindy da Silva, director, OEM Product Management at Satair. “Our combined expertise ensures reliable support and availability for these essential systems.”

Today’s agreement comes at a time when the aviation aftermarket is grappling with extended lead times, raw‑material constraints, and geopolitical freight uncertainties. By leveraging Satair’s forecasting tools, such as its Satair Digital Access platform and Collins’ data‑driven logistics, MRO providers can implement dynamic stocking based on real‑time consumption data, utilize predictive analytics to pre‑position critical oxygen and lighting spares, and also streamline global replenishment through regional hubs for faster turnarounds

This partnership underscores the growing trend of vertical integration in MRO supply chains, where operators demand not only parts but also end‑to‑end visibility and performance guarantees.

Since initiating their relationship in 1974, Satair and Collins Aerospace have methodically broadened their scope from oxygen systems to galley equipment and full lighting suites. Satair is also an authorized distributor for Collins’ electrical, environmental‑control, engine‑system, and fire‑protection parts

“As a leading provider of cabin interior products and solutions, Collins’ airline customers rely on aftermarket speed and agility to keep fleets operational and ensure the highest levels of passenger comfort and safety,” said John Baske, Vice President of Services & Support at Collins Aerospace. “Satair’s customer reach and supply‑chain prowess ensure our airline customers receive premium support no matter where they are around the globe.”

As the aftermarket continues its digital transformation, this extension is a template for future MRO partnerships where artificial intelligence, IoT‑enabled sensor data, and automated replenishment converge to minimize downtime. With airlines pushing for lean inventories and just‑in‑time maintenance, the Satair‑Collins alliance provides a scalable blueprint for managing complex cabin‑interior ecosystems across diverse fleets.
