SWISS International Air Lines (SWISS) has unveiled the new First and Business Class seats from its much-anticipated ‘SWISS Senses’ cabin concept during an exclusive presentation at Zurich Airport. These seats will debut aboard the airline’s brand-new Airbus A350-900 aircraft, scheduled to enter service from this fall. The SWISS Senses cabin, which will be rolled out across all travel classes, represents the airline’s largest product investment to date and is designed to deliver a more personal, luxurious, and sensorial travel experience. The first intercontinental destination to welcome the A350 with SWISS Senses will be Boston, starting this winter, with flights from January 1, 2026, already open for booking. Initially, the aircraft will be deployed on European routes post-delivery in October.
Innovations in all travel classes
Marking a complete redesign of the airline’s long-haul cabin interiors, the SWISS Senses concept embodies a warm and elegant aesthetic, featuring a timeless color palette of claret, anthracite, and beige. These muted tones create a soothing atmosphere onboard, enhanced by premium materials and textures. For the first time, SWISS introduces suite-style seating in SWISS First and select areas of SWISS Business. Human-centric lighting aims to help passengers better adjust to time zone changes, and all classes benefit from a new in-flight entertainment system with larger screens and the ability to connect personal devices.

SWISS First: privacy assured
The new SWISS First Class offers an unprecedented level of privacy and personalization. Each suite features sliding doors for total enclosure, a spacious personal wardrobe, a generous seat table, as well as seat heating, cooling, and a wireless charging station. The suite-wide screen display enhances the in-flight entertainment experience, while the center suite configuration can accommodate two guests traveling together. Designed to embody comfort and tranquility, the suite interiors blend warm colors and premium wood finishes. A newly designed, spacious washroom complements the premium experience, inspired by the iconic spring in Vals, Switzerland, with a slate-black exterior and a calming green interior that echoes the freshness of alpine water.

SWISS Business: Aisle access from every seat
In the SWISS Business cabin, flexibility and choice are key. The layout includes a variety of seating options to meet diverse traveler needs. Select seats include sliding doors for added privacy, and every seat transforms into a fully lie-flat bed ranging from 2.0 to 2.2 meters in length. Comfort features include heating, cooling, wireless charging, and enhanced storage options. The claret and anthracite color scheme and refined materials contribute to a cozy and private atmosphere, elevating the premium travel experience.

SWISS Premium Economy: ‘Tried-and-Trusted’ retained
SWISS Premium Economy remains a staple in the new cabin concept, continuing to offer passengers a balanced blend of comfort and service. With nearly one meter of seat pitch, generous legroom, and dedicated in-flight service, the Premium Economy cabin sets a high standard in its class and will be retained as part of the SWISS Senses rollout.
SWISS Economy: Greater comfort through smart design
In Economy Class, travelers will notice significant improvements in seat functionality and space. The new seats, carefully engineered for ergonomic support, offer more legroom and personal space. Every seat is equipped with a high-resolution 13-inch+ screen, Bluetooth connectivity for personal headphones, and USB ports, delivering a modern and comfortable long-haul experience for all passengers.
All new Airbus A350-900s joining the SWISS fleet will come equipped with the SWISS Senses cabin. The airline also plans to retrofit this innovative cabin design onto its existing long-haul fleet, including the Airbus A330-300 and Boeing 777-300ER aircraft, marking a significant transformation in SWISS’s premium product strategy.
