Alaska Airlines and T-Mobile have entered a major partnership to redefine in-flight connectivity. The new benefit, presented by T-Mobile, provides Atmos Rewards members with free, blazing-fast wi-fi across Alaska’s network.
This initiative will introduce travelers to one of the most advanced in-flight connectivity systems in the industry. Exclusive benefits for T-Mobile users include a smooth, ad-free wi-fi login, and more benefits are anticipated later in the year.
Alaska Airlines will be the first airline in the United States to run long-haul flights from Seattle-Tacoma International Airport with Starlink. Once the fleetwide rollout is complete, Alaska will offer more Starlink-enabled flights from Seattle than any other airline. The announcement follows Hawaiian Airlines’ launch last year as the first major carrier to adopt Starlink, positioning both airlines at the forefront of next-generation in-flight internet.
“This collaboration goes beyond a typical sponsorship—it’s a shared commitment between two hometown leaders focused on delivering more value, innovation, and ease to travelers across the Pacific Northwest and beyond. At T-Mobile, our mission is to be the best in the world at connecting customers to their world—and together with Alaska, we’re going one step further by extending the same seamless, in-flight Wi-Fi experience our customers love to every Atmos Rewards member,” said Mike Katz, President of Marketing, Strategy, and Products at T-Mobile.
The rollout of Alaska’s new wi-fi system will begin in 2026 across regional, narrowbody, and widebody aircraft, with completion targeted for 2027. At that point, the airline will offer unmatched gate-to-gate, low-latency, high-bandwidth connectivity on the majority of its flights, exclusively for Atmos Rewards members. Membership in the program, which integrates Alaska’s Mileage Plan and Hawaiian’s HawaiianMiles, is free to join and offers enhanced benefits, global access, and more rewards for frequent flyers.
Since 2014, T-Mobile has been a leader in providing free in-flight connectivity, including complimentary Wi-Fi on Alaska Airlines flights. The new partnership builds on the companies’ long-standing relationship, with T-Mobile technology already powering digital tools for Alaska’s flight attendants, pilots, and ground crews.
