In a move that underscores its continued investment in passenger comfort and design, American Airlines is set to introduce a new range of limited-edition amenity kits for premium cabin customers on select international and transcontinental flights. Launching later this month, the kits mark a new chapter in the airline’s strategy to offer a seamless, elevated travel experience across its Flagship First, Flagship Business, and Premium Economy cabins.

The new kits have been designed in collaboration with Raven + Lily, an Austin-based lifestyle brand renowned for its ethically sourced leather goods and artisan-inspired craftsmanship. Known for creating purposeful products that balance functionality with sustainable design, Raven + Lily has tailored each kit to not only serve as an in-flight amenity but also as a reusable travel accessory that passengers can enjoy long after their journey ends.

Each cabin class has been given a unique design identity. Passengers in Flagship First and Flagship Suite Preferred seats will receive a navy blue crossbody bag inspired by Raven + Lily’s popular Yami Backpack, featuring hand-stitched kantha zigzag detailing and a detachable strap, ideal for daily use. Those traveling in Flagship Business and Flagship Suite seats will enjoy a sleek two-tone pouch in powder blue and navy, accompanied by a detachable wristlet strap, perfect for organizing personal items on the go. Meanwhile, Premium Economy travelers will be offered a structured, magnetic pouch in navy or orange, which cleverly doubles as a sunglass case, adding practicality to its design.

Commenting on the collaboration, Kinda Lincoln, CEO of Raven + Lily, said: “Every product we create at Raven + Lily is made with purpose, blending beauty and function. Designing these amenity kits for American Airlines allowed us to bring that same thoughtfulness to travelers around the world. These are pieces meant to be reused, loved and carried well beyond the flight.”

Another major enhancement in the new amenity kits is the exclusive onboard introduction of Joanna Vargas skincare products. Vargas, a celebrated facialist with a clientele that includes some of Hollywood’s most recognizable faces, is known for her plant-powered, results-driven formulations. Each kit will include a curated selection of travel-friendly essentials such as a hydrating hand and body lotion and a moisturizing lip balm. These products have been chosen to combat inflight dryness, ensuring passengers arrive refreshed and revitalized.

Alongside the design and skincare upgrades, American Airlines has introduced new and improved comfort essentials within each kit. In Flagship First and Flagship Suite Preferred, passengers will find a premium oshibori towel, oversized eye mask, and enhanced crew socks. In Flagship Business and Flagship Suite, the kits include an upgraded eye mask, crew socks, and a refreshing towelette. For Premium Economy, practical additions include a microfiber cleaning cloth for glasses and digital devices — addressing everyday needs often overlooked in traditional amenity offerings.

American Airlines has emphasized that these amenity kits are part of a broader strategy to refine and elevate the customer journey. According to Heather Garboden, American’s Chief Customer Officer: “These amenity kits are more than just a travel essential, they are an elevated part of the journey. Our partnership with Raven + Lily allowed us to bring beautifully designed, purpose-driven bags on board that customers will enjoy in the air and on the ground. From the quality of the materials to the curated skincare and comfort items inside, every detail was chosen with intention and care. This is part of our larger commitment to delivering a premium and comfortable experience for our customers and we’re just getting started.”

The launch of the new amenity kits complements American Airlines’ AAdvantage program, which offers passengers enhanced rewards and loyalty benefits. By combining inflight upgrades with a comprehensive rewards ecosystem, the airline continues to position itself as a leader in premium travel experiences.

With thoughtful design, sustainable partnerships, and wellness-oriented products, these limited-edition kits demonstrate how airlines can transcend mere functionality to create a sense of luxury, care, and continuity throughout the passenger journey.
