LOT Polish Airlines has revealed the design concepts for its upcoming Airbus A220 cabins, set to enter service from 2027. The new aircraft are designed to raise the bar for short- and medium-haul travel, offering ergonomic seating, modern technology, and improved passenger comfort.

The cabins will feature RECARO’s R2 seats, manufactured at the company’s facility in Świebodzin, Poland. Each seat will be equipped with integrated device holders, a 60W USB-C power outlet, and a cup holder. The lightweight, ergonomic design is aimed at enhancing comfort while maintaining efficiency.

LOT’s A220 fleet will be configured in two classes, Economy and Business. Business Class passengers will benefit from enhanced service, lounge access, and higher baggage allowances. Depending on the variant, the aircraft will accommodate 125 passengers (A220-100) or 149 passengers (A220-300), with a 2-3 seating layout and 18-inch-wide seats that provide extra personal space compared to industry norms.

The cabins will also incorporate Airbus’ latest Airspace design, featuring dynamic LED lighting, larger windows, and more spacious overhead bins. A sound-insulating cabin structure will ensure quieter flights, while in-flight Wi-Fi will allow passengers to stay connected for work or messaging.

“The A220 sets a new travel standard at LOT. With greater comfort, quieter cabins, and modern tech features, every flight will feel even smoother. These planes are designed with our passengers in mind,” said Izabela Leszczyńska, director of product development and customer experience at LOT Polish Airlines.

By introducing the Airbus A220, LOT is strengthening its regional leadership, combining modern aircraft technology with an upgraded onboard experience.
